Naturally, this lead to the need to decide on and acquire all the other Lego parts to complete the build. I figured I would eventually buy an inexpensive upper from PSA but while I was at the LGS perusing anything and everything, I happened to be looking at a complete Del-Ton upper when the owner walked through and dropped the price by over $100. So, I had to take it of course!

Next up, I was sucked in by an email ad for a special edition Rise Armament 3.5lb drop in trigger for $99.

Also got sucked in by another ad for a Sig Sauer Tango MSR 1-6x24 Tactical scope.

Finally, last weekend I went to another LGS called North Sound Firearms and purchased most everything else. That is a great shop and I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a small, friendly shop with lots of awesome stuff and a great supply of gun build parts. I purchased a Wilson Combat small parts AR kit (which kinda sucked) and an Aero Precision receiver extension kit as well as Magpul stock and rubberized grip. To top it off I bought a Ruger radial muzzle brake, which I really like on my RUGER AR-556 MPR. And, I also recently added BCM rail covers which are awesome, as was the buying experience from BCM. I just ordered more for some other guns.

Anyway, really looking forward to finally shooting it if the weather and time cooperate at some point. This is only my second build but it is a very addictive process and I see more in my future! And some more upgrades on this gun as well.

I thought that the political gun joke for this resident of the whitehouse would be the double barrel shotgun. Ya know, just go outside and blast two shots up in the air (leaving your gun empty and you defenseless) by committing a crime in nearly any jurisdiction… reckless endangerment, discharge within city limits, menacing…
But you have a nice build coming together for sure.

PSA should offer a double-barrel 12Ga upper for it, just pop the rear pin to load/unload. I bet they would sell a gazillion of 'em!

Nice lookin freedom stick, OP!

Wouldn't be hard at all, just run the charging handle between the barrels and have a sliding switch for the firing pins.....

You have one hammer to fire two barrel but without a reciprocating bolt to cock the hammer you will have to do it manually. Plus the cartridge's have to be in front of the hammer and they need a breach face so it will have to break open somewhere other than the rear takedown pin. It would probably make more sense to have two strikers built into the upper with transfer bar of sorts reaching down to touch off the trigger in the ar lower rather than actually using the AR's hammer.

You could have the barrels be fixed and the breechblock slide backwards on rails for loading. If ya wanna get really crazy, you could have external hammer levers with an internal extention that slides over the existing AR hammer.......?

Excellent build!

When you get a chance to shoot it let us know how it does for you. :)

Stay safe.

Thanks for the positive feedback everyone! I didn't realize there was a Dog Face Pony Soldier Version, that would be a great addition to the stable. I noticed on Gun broker that people had bid a couple of LETSGO-15 stripped lowers above $100. Silly.

Now for a question. With an empty magazine inserted, if I happen to charge the rifle and do not pay attention, the bolt will not go all the way into battery, and then with a pull of the trigger, the hammer hits and knocks the bolt into battery. Is that normal? I have not tried this with a round in the magazine yet to see if it would still stop short of being fully in position and clearly this will not be a problem when the bolt is released and slams home. But, it is rather disconcerting that it will allow the hammer to fall when out of battery. I don't think things would end well if it allowed that to happened with a round attached to the bolt.

Very Nice! I pick mine up in a couple of days. I usually don't go for stuff like this, but for some reason this one just cracked me up!

Nice build and let us know how it shoots.

I got sick of an uncompleted complete lower sitting around my shop, so I ordered an upper from Bear Creek, and threw this together until the young man I was holding the lower for gets back to me:

It's my 'placeholder' until the next build. I do think a SxS 12 ga AR would be just the gun to bring to the Sporting Clays matches. ;)

It will have an optic on it; I'm trying to decide between a thermal or 1-6 or 8 Illuminated dot scope.
