My local LGS has seen fit to raise 9mm from $23 for 50 rounds to over $80 in the last six months. So today I decided I have visited my local LGS for the last time.
Today I stopped by Dunham's sports. Never the cheapest place in town. But, With in Reason. Six months ago I found 12ga. buckshot there for $6 box of 5. 2 3/4, 00 buck. The only buckshot I could find at the time. Today $13 for box of 10. The only buckshot I could find today. So, Today I decided Dunham's IS my new local LGS from now on. At least they are trying to hold the line and give their customers the best price they can. I'll remember that.

I understand LGS having to raise their prices to make money in this market but $80 for 50 is just a little much. You run a fine line of making money and driving off your customers, they may have just achieved the latter.

you do realize that your LGS has to buy that ammo from a supplier...right?

don't you ever think that maybe that supplier raised the prices as well.??

No way, he shouldn't have bought at that price either...its causes the same issue

maybe he bought it so that at the very least he has something on the shelves?

otherwise, it gets just as tiring to tell people over the phone, or when they walk in, "No Ammo"....

Basic economics. Manufacturers incur added cost because of low supply, high demand. Covid restrictions added on top of that don't help. They charge more to the suppliers, that charge them more to dealers, that charge more to customers.

I do realize. I realize the LGS And his Supplier have lost at least one customer. My New LGS, "Dunham's" is not more that two miles apart on the Same road. And, I expect that if they don't get from the same supplier it most certainly come from the same factories. I'm not going to play the game. If they don't want to sell at reasonable price,so be it. I won't buy.
