My M-11 after Durabake, very happy...

Welcome, mblairmail :).

The finish looks great. What is Durabake, anyway?

Also, I'm going to have to expose my ignorance about something else . In many pictures of MAC-style firearms (yours included), it looks as though the trigger has been wrapped in electrical tape, or rubber sheathing of some kind. Whatever it is, there looks to be something other than just plain metal where the trigger is. Sorry to get off topic a little, but could you tell me what this is? I've seen it all over the place in pictures, but have never owned a MAC, semi or full auto. Actually, I don't know anybody who does, either, and so I know little to nothing about them.

Durabake is similar to Gun Kote, it is a bake on epoxy finish. If you have ever used header paint, it is very similar.

It is a piece of rubber around the trigger, acts as a cushion for your finger.
I am actually debating right now on wether or not to sale or trade this gun...

These semis have a big problem with trigger slap. Adding a small piece of rubber tubing doesn't cure the problem, it merely does an inadequate, at best mediocre job of minimizing it. This is a design flaw that basically came about by making a perfectly good open-bolt full auto into a closed bolt semi-auto. There were limited numbers of semi-auto Cobrays that were made that fired from an open-bolt & that didn't have this problem but the ATF felt it was too easy to convert these to FA.

Nevertheless the finish looks good, BTW.

I actually have shot my M-11 with out the rubber trigger cover and had no problems with trigger slap? A friend of mine bought an M-11 at the same time and he also had no problems. I used the rubber piece because the trigger itself is very uncomfortable, while my buddy says he likes the feel of the narrow metal trigger cutting into his finger. This was the first I had heard of the trigger slap though. Thanks for the info...
