my new 22 build and a contest...WE HAVE A WINNER!

I have gotten my latest .22 build finished up, other than the suppressed barrel...that will likely be 4-6 more months before the paperwork clears. I wasn't willing to wait that long so I am using an ER Shaw barrel till then. While it looks like a 10/22 it contains just a single Ruger part, the rest are all aftermarket.

This is where the contest comes into play, simply post and guess the single Ruger part. Those who guess correctly will have their name put into the hat and a winner will be drawn. Please, only one guess per person so don't post 50 times naming a different part in each post. You can post as many times as you wish in the thread but only your first post with a guess will count. A hint...it isn't the magazine.

Tuesday evening I will cull out the correct answers and draw the winner. What will you win? Something sharp and pointy.

Now the rifle...

More pics and details of the build will be posted after the contest ends.

Great rifle! I'm going to guess the barrel clamp.

EDIT: By "clamp", I meant V-block.

Safety button looks factory to me! Nice rifle! I look forward to seeing how it shoots for ya.
PS is that a camo hogue overmold stock? The profile looks similar to mine but mine's just black.

It is a Hogue Overmold but in Ghillie Tan. Get's a trip to the range tomorrow, will try it out after the shoot is over. Sooner or later this rifle will get a Bushnell TRS 25, that scope will co-witness with the irons, but for now I paln on enjoying it with just the irons. I have a target 10/22 and a lightweight with a Tru Glo 2X red dot so this will be fun for just the irons. The large aperture on the rear is just about a ghost ring...should would well for snap shooting at 25 yards or so and the other aperture will be fine out to 100 or more. The front uses a SKS sight post so I have plenty of choices there. The rear sight and rail is a one piece unit. NoDak Spud is the only ones who make a sight set up like this for the .920 bull barrel.

Beautiful gun, let us know how it shoots! I have to agree that the safety button looks factory and has to be the ruger part.

Shot it today after our clubs scheduled match. Bad news is I a grabbed a bad magazine...follower was sticking and wouldn't push rounds up. Good news is off the bench using bags it grouped 5 rounds into about 1/2 inch with 3 rounds touching. Now more bad news...the group was about 8 inches low with Federal Auto Match so I thought I would try a high velocity round or two. Had some Remington in the bag so loaded up a few of those. Didn't even think the Shaw barrel had a match chamber. Long story short the round didn't chamber completely but in far enough the gun would fire. Result was a loud bang, gas in the face and just the rim of the case ejecting, rest wast stuck in the chamber. Brought it home amidst profanity so profound that decorum prevents me from repeating it here. Brush wouldn't pull the stuck case, one easy out was too small, the next size too big, finally resorted to a dry wall screw, threads caught the brass and out it came.

Lessons learned:

No more cheap bulk in the gun.
Always take extra mag to the range.
Drywall screws have many functions.

I know it will shoot Federal Auto Match, didn't get a chance to try the Wolf Match. Will head back out in the next few day for further testing and zeroing but so far I am very happy with the accuracy.
