Hi all... I built some 10/22's years ago, but have been in Center fire mode for a long time. I wanted to build a new 10/22 to play with, so heres what I got:

Walmart generic 10/22 was what I started off with. Leupold Mark 4 3.5x10 Scope.

Then Added a FA Enterprises stock, VQ THM CF Barrel W/Comp, VQ Extended Mag Release, VQ Hammer and Bolt hold open lever (one that lets you drop the bolt by pulling it).

I still have to polish the ball on the hammer spring strut, and I want to make a few custom parts(Bolt lever, and maybe some other stuff).. Its a start...

I is also a Suppressor host for my Gemtech Outback II. I have the adapter for the barrel, just unscrew the comp, and install it..easy..;)

That's definantly a good lookin gunyou got there CDignition. The only thing that would make it look any better is one of my 1.200" diameter bull barrels:D....

Wow. I know you can tinker up a 10/22, I didn't realise you could make one look like -that-.

Very nice indeed, makes me feel even more hamfisted than usual :)

good taste, cdignition :)

that's exactly like the one i built for my daughter for xmas.pictures

except i put the stainless volquartsen receiver in it too and got slightly darker wood finish. she loves it. it shoots great. you can't see it in the pic, but it's the same barrel too.

It was hard trying to decide what wood to get. They have Green, darker Brown and the Blonde. I like blondes so I figured thats the way to go..;)

Im going to take it out this weekend and do some ammo testing.

IT weighs 7 1/2 pounds

yep, it's heavy, but it's all in the rear, which makes it much easier for a 9 yr old to shoot.

No chest-puffin', rooster struttin' goin' on here...just an observation. I've build several tricked-out 10/22 set-ups. I finally took an HONEST look at what they cost me by the time I was "finished" (you never REALLY are).
Reality said I could BUY a complete Volquartsen rifle for less than I was spending trying to make a Ruger shoot like one! So I bit the bullet (pardon the pun) and bought a new Volquartsen Superlite.

It truly shoots as well as my Anschutz Super Match 54, looks JUST LIKE a 10/22, and is the last rimfire rifle I'll ever NEED to buy. Just a thought...and I REALLY DO LIKE YOUR STOCK. Let us know how it shoots. It IS a VERY NICE build. Congratulations!
