Hello folks! hope everybody is doing fine today, as for me well i'm quite happy, just got this new 442 earlier today, i had a ruger LCR w/ct grips on layaway but i still owe like 240 , so went to the shop and checked out if they have any thing new and wala! they just got a shippment of SW so I decided to just go with these 442 instead of the LCR, just added 50 bucks out the door, so here it is..man this thing is so nice to carry, very light..

You'll love it. I've had my satin nickel since '92 and it was one of the best gun buys I've ever made.. I carry it in a Galco paddle holster and it's just a pleasure to carry.

I was carrying autoloaders for a few years, but in the past 6 months I broke out the revolvers again, so this one went back on my hip.

I carry a .45 or 9mm auto usually, but bought a 442 a few months ago and have discovered the practicality of pocket carry when appropriate. I am using the 442 much more often than I expected to.

this will be my alternate CCW piece, i usually carry a cw40 loaded with powerballs..is there a 38 special in the hornandy critical defense line of ammo.?

I just got one used today. Guy bought it in Jan 2010 and put 100 rounds through it. Blackhawk Holster, 4 safariland speed loaders, and 580 rounds of ammo (80 of which is winchester sxt) all for $550. Schwing!

I just had a 642 follow me home this evening. After looking at yours I wonder if whoever had it before put on aftermarket grips because I can get a pinkie on mine and there is no metal showing on the back strap. I am glad to have a Smith instead of a Ruger or other brands. All in all you read fewer complaints on the boards.

LOL.... you have the same holster I do, as well. Nice, sweet little shooter & just too easy to slip into a pocket.

Congrats on the acquisition of a "must have"!!

Get yourself a Mika Roundcut Pocket Holster, by Robert Mika. Great buy, and a fantastic pocket holster.

A couple of Bianchi Speedstrips for reload and you are good to go.

I love my 442, it looks ever better to me the older and more worn it gets from carry. I carry it with me bowhunting as well, hardly know its on you. Smith and Wesson makes a quality product and they stand behind it. Way to go on the 442. I reload 125gr'ers for mine and it likes them.

I carry my 442 everyday. It works great for me. i appendix carry with a clipdraw installed. I love it. i carry with 158 grain buffalo bore LSWCH+P's loaded. They definitely feel hotter than all of the others i have tried.

Congratulations on a great choice!

Every weekday evening, I remove a Smith .40 and LCP with my business wear, and my 442 takes their place, as comfortable as the jeans I'm carrying it in.

Good stuff.

Les
