Hiya Guys ,
Look what I ran across on our local gun Grapevine yesterday and ended up picking up this morning. An unmolested unsporterized all matching #'s Carl Gustafs Stads M94/14 carbine (G 33/50) in 6.5x55 Swedish w/ the original sling. Unfortunately I didn't pick this one up for $200 like I did my 6.5 Norwegian krag Jorgensen from Steyr, this one cost me $450 which is still pretty damn good considering what they go for retail. Here's some specs on it :
Calibre: ........................ 6.5 x55 Swedish
Rifling & Twist: .............. 1 in 7.9"
Barrel Length: ............... 17.7 in. (450mm)
Overall Length: ............. 37.3 in.(950mm)
Weight: ........................ 7.5 lbs. (3.4kg) (empty)
Magazine Capacity: ....... 5 (charger fed)
Total Qty Mfg: .. ............ 115,000 (by Carl Gustafs Stads Gevarsfaktori)
Qty Mfg (1907): ............ 14,105 (Low Serial # 39600 - High Serial # 53615)
This rifle in particular is production number # 12221 out of 115,000. Because of the ATF rules there is a 0.3" nub on the end of the barrel to bring it out to 18" so they could be imported in the 60's. Even though this thing is only 37" long,, after reading a number of threads on other gun boards I'm just glad I was able to find one of these that hadn't been chopped up and turned into a deer rifle ...
BTW, this also came with 95 rds of original Swedish Surplus 6.5 milsurp shells. I thought that was a nice little bonus.
