I have always wanted a Model 19 2.5" K-frame. So, at last weekend's St Paul gun show, I asked about a Model 19 4" and said, "To bad you don't have one in 2.5!" He said, "I don't and I do... I don't have a Model 19 but do have a Model 66!"

Did I mention that I love stainless steel! So, he gave me a good deal and it came home with me. I had to take some pics of the gun and the new holsters I made for it this week.

It is a 1980 vintage 66-1 and in great shape.

Even my wife wants to shoot it! 8)

Looks like someone has been polishing it.

These are one of the finest CCW revolvers ever made.

Good find Srigs! You're gonna love it. 2.5" K frames usually shoot very accurately.

Here's a pic of my 66-no dash. This is the one before the gas ring was moved to the cylinder...some of these have a tendacy to crud up and lock the cylinder supposedly but mine has never had that problem

Your -1 model solved that concern. Mine has a S&W factory installed smooth wide trigger (got the old one in the box).

I haven't seen you on the S&W Forum much lately. :scrutiny:

I just gotta say the m-66 2.5" is a great looking revolver. It has a very purpose-built look that talks to me and says "I'm on a MISSION"!
Nasty-Beautiful...

Gun expert/writer Leroy Thompson said it best:

"The S&W Model 66 with the 2 1/2" barrel has a particularly bellicose appearance".

I know I will like this revolver :D

Cocked and Locked, I have been darn busy but you will see me more often at S&W forum.

No, snub .45's and .44's have the really bellicose apperance! I generally dislike K frame magnums with the exception of snub ones and stailess makes it even better!

Sjow us a pic of the cylinder unloaded so we can enjoy the look of the recessed cylinder!
