My new Custon Rifle built by Me
I wanted to share some picks of my new AR-15 Varmint model.
Bushmaster lower $260 from my local shop.
Rock River 20" A4 Varmint Upper with Picatinny rail and gas block Heavy wilson barrel with Wylde " match chamber". $506 delivered.
Harris Bipod
Total cost $706 delivered.
I may add the rock river arms 2 stage match trigger later for $96.
You can build this model for $1100 cheaper than Wilson sells it for, and $150 cheaper than Rock river sells it for as a complete rifle. Even though I assembled it myself (attached the upper to the lower) no gunsmithing was required. There is no play between the upper and the lower none at all.
I shot it 07/05 at 100 yards and turned in a .33 edge to edge 5 shot group
(.11 after bullet diameter is subtracted) 10 shot group was 1.25" (my poor hold on the last 5) off or my Harris bipod with no rear bag.
Load was 26 gr Winchester 748, 55 grain Winchester bulk BTFMJ, and a CCI small rifle primer.
