I just wanted to brag on it, but I went hunting first actual weekend of the Texas north zone. We had a good day Saturday, shot a limit. I took my Spartan SPR220 side by side again, this year choking it I-C/Mod and it was wonderful! Last year, I went with I-C/Full and full was just too much. This year, the mod barrel was taking dove out to nearly 40 yards and anything up to 25 was mine with the I-C barrel. This little fart (a 20" coach gun) is so light and handy, it's great for up to Teal and can even take big ducks, though I'd rather shoot a 12 on big ducks. But for doves, it's fantastic! It does take some concentration on smooth, consistent swing, but if you can swing it smoothly, it'll do the job.

I'd originally bought this thing for its portability on my motorcycle (breaks down and locks up in the top trunk or saddle bags), but I've learned to love this thing for its capability. I like doubles anyway and this one, while not very pretty, works well. Pretty is as pretty does, after all. I was a little worried when I bought it that I might not like it due to its light weight and rearward balance, but I have adapted well to the gun, it seems. When you get in the groove with the thing, it sure does the job.

Have you tried it on Teal? Speaking of which, have you seen any in your part of the world? My wife has the 26 " barreled version of your gun. I wish it was mine. It sure points good. I/C & Mod are our choke combo of choice on Dove also.:)

The hurricane sorta ruined my teal hunting plans, but I'm going out probably tomorrow to see of GDWMA is open. Not sure, we got a LOT of tidal surge when that thing came in. If it's open, I'll likely go Thursday and will let ya know. I'd run out there today, but I have to work this afternoon.

Yep, I choked it cyl/I-C with number 4 3" steel and that thing would reach out there past 30-35 yards. The cyl choke is great for those that come in low and fast and the gun swings quick. I like it on teal. I'd want the modified choke in it for late season and it's not steel rated, but there are steel rated tubes on the market for modified choke for the gun. I just haven't bought one. I'd rather shoot 12s at big ducks, anyway.
