Very impressive build! Cool to have the means and ability to make this "dream" basement a reality.

Here's is a pic where I welded studs to the beams so they get incorporated into the concrete. I just burned thru the tin to the beam.

Did this today. Screwed and glued 2x4s to the ceiling. Ran the screws down thru the top side of the tin. This gives me something to finish ceiling to

Here's what I got done today. Hope to pour concrete in the morning. There is 3/4 rebar in the trough of tin then I used 5/8 that is in 1' squares. I still have to lay wire mesh on top yet

This is how I braced underneath. The specs for the decking show that it wasn't needed but I did it anyway

Very, very cool build.

If a little dungeony - it's certainly secure.

I would absolutely run water and its attendant drain.

The amount of times that I wash my hands before, during and after working on firearms and reloading equipment means I need a sink close by.

Once the sink and its drain is there... why not a urinal?

Keeps you from gettin' caught by her while you're wizzin' in the sink.

Well poured the floor yesterday. Started about 11. For anyone interested the concrete mix was 40% Rock, no air no ash. 1% hot water, 1% calcium and 3x normal on the fiber. Supposed to be a 4500 psi mix. I think they forgot the hot water because it didn't start setting up til 630 or so. Then on top of that a wintry mix storm popped up and it started raining around 8. So we were in a frenzy trying to get it covered with plastic in 30 mph winds. Rain ended around 10. I think we saved the floor. Will know more when it cures. Hopefully it doesn't flake off. The finish isn't the best but i don't care. It's better than losing it. Didn't get in til 3am. Back up at 6 to start building garage because of cold spell coming. I am keeping basement under garage at 85-92 degrees. Making a big difference on concrete

One way to put a wall up. I ended up covering floor with sheeting. I know it's going to stain it so will probably coat it with something eventually. Did this so we wouldn't tear it up walking on it

I always hated when the concrete just sat there for hours before it started setting. This is going to be really nice when it's done and you can have the pleasure of saying you did it yourself. Some thing to be proud of. Are the tin pans coated so the calcium in the concrete doesn't eat them up?

Yes they are made specifically for concrete. It is nice doing the work myself but Its going to make an old man out of me though and I'm only 28.

28 years young to boot. Looks great, and you will be able to enjoy it for years to come.

Very nice and what I want to do. Are you going to make the rest of the home out of rebar concrete?
