Its a like new West German P7M10 with the nickel finish. A rare gun indeed.

I cleaned it up and this example is pristine. I can't wait to shoot it. Its only my second 40S&W, the other is a Beretta PX4.

They aren't as svelte as the single stack 9mm P7 and weigh as much as a full size 1911, which is why they didn't sell well. However, now they continue to go up in value.

It feels very solid and well built. Actually, its overbuilt. I love all steel German pistols.

Here are some quick pics I took.

Yep. Very nice. The P7M10 is beautiful. I wish I had any of the three in your pics. If I had my pick, it'd be the P7M8... today. Ask me again tomorrow though :D

bac1023,

How do you like that Mark 23? Do you have a photo with a size reference? I'm getting interested in buying one, but they're hard to find...

(sorry for the slight thread derail!)

You are definitely slowly approaching one of the nicest handgun collections around.

...and that's against a lot of other nice collections...

Very nice P7M10.

Thanks Richard.

I'm mostly a 1911 collector and own about three dozen of them with a few more on order.

However, I do have some other stuff as well.

No problem.

Here's a pic with my Desert Eagle. I'm not sure if you have or have handled one, but they are big pistols.

I do like the Mark 23. It has low recoil and is very accurate.

I got a nice deal, but models in this condition normally go for $2000-$2500 and up. New in box models go for $3k+.

bac1023,

Of course you also have a Desert Eagle. Jerk :p

I would really like both guns as well. The DE will probably be a lot easier to get my hands on, and cheaper, but of course then I have to keep a bunch of .50 AE on hand. The H&K nicely compliments my existing collection of both weapons and ammo...

I just love interesting and unusual guns. Thanks so much for the photo.

No problem.

Interesting guns are my specialty!

Just a thought, if you're willing to spend the money on a Mark 23, you could get a level 1 Sig X-Five for just slightly more.

The X-Five is one of my favorites.

That X-Five sure it nice, I've been thinking about buying a SIG...

My gun dealer says she can get me a Mark 23 for $1800 or so, but that "they rarely make them". I guess I'll stash some $$ and see if I run into one... $2K is OK for something that cool, $3 is pushing it.

You can get an X-Five L1 for $2200-$2300, so they are a little more than the Mark 23.

The X-Five is in a class by itself, but its really an apples to oranges comparsion to the Mark 23. They are totally different.
