I bought this rifle and scope last week for $350. A Stevens 200 .223 topped with a Mueller 8.5x25 40mm scope. This is going to be my new mid to long range project. Ive already decided to switch out the flimsy stock first. Then it will be some trigger work. The scope is decent and from the little bit I have shot it, the rifle is pretty accurate.

Also shown in the pic is my new GP100 and my Colt 6520. The Colt with load 20 round mag, sling and double shiled M4 hand guards is 6 pounds.

Pictures are kinda crappy.

That looks like a good set of bones for your project. You'll have a good time tinkering with it and then working up a load you like. We'll look for the follow up pics as the summer comes in. :D

Of all the questions I could ask... what kind of bag is that?
Its a Maxpedition bag. Very rugged. I won it in a raffle at my departments yearly state wide LEO shooting competition. I also won a Streamlight TLR-1, another Stereamlight flashlight, a pair of MSA electronic earmuffs and various other little things. My good friend sitting next to me was pissed that I kept winning, but he ended up getting a GSG-5 rifle.

Thanks, I'll check that out. I'm on the lookout for a "project" rifle in bolt form. Looks like you scored a pretty good deal. Let us know how it groups.

Cheers
