This is a pic of my old model Ruger Vaquero in 45 Colt. Put it in layaway and paid $400 for it. Looks like maybe a box had been run through it, its in mint shape. It has the color-cased finish and doesn't have the lock under the grips. Serial # is 58-554xx . I am really starting to think this may be the rare Sheriffs model the barrel measures 3 and 3/4" and thats from the front of the forcing cone to muzzle. If this is the sheriffs model how rare is it and should I be sparingly how I shoot it or should I shoot it and enjoy? Also the timing issue does kinda bug me, where can I get the kit to fix it and would this ruin the value of the gun if I install it. Also this is my first Ruger single action, my other single action is a rough rider. The Vaquero doesn't have the 4 clicks, is this how Ruger single actions are or is there something wrong?
Thanks in Advance.
