Remington 17 from May 1931
Still not the equal of a '50s Wingmaster, at least that's what the guys'll tell ya!!
Not this guy. I've yet to find a part on a Model 870 that wasn't stamped and have never seen a stamped part on a Model 17 (well, maybe the magazine)-if that means anything to anyone. One thing's for sure; as nice as Model 870s are, Remington could never make a Model 17 again that would be cheap enough for the "average" pump gun shooter to buy. Check out what the new Ithaca Model 37s are selling for and how many they're selling. Too bad but the market is geared for Remington 870s, Winchester 1300s and Mossberg 500s.
Yep, same for my old Model 12 Winchester. Milled forged steel. But not as good as a WINGER according to the greeny boys!!!
