Today I took my new Lipsey's Ruger Mark III to the range for the second time. This is the matte finish with silver colored aluminum grips. I am not much of a black gun guy, as most of my guns are stainless, but this is one of my favorite looking pistols I own.
My apologies for the terrible iPhone pictures. I have now put ~400 hundred rounds through it without cleaning. It has been, as expected, flawless. My only grip are the all-black sites. The targets provided at our indoor range have the black center. Couple that with the overall poor lighting (and my tinted shooting glasses), I had a hard time seeing very well in there. The below target was at 25 feet. I am not the best shooter by any means, but I feel that the gun shoots very well. It is overall much smoother than some of my previous Ruger .22's. The bolt is very smooth to operate, and the fit and finish are better than I expected.
