My newest addition, AR-15 in .204 Ruger, Target Photo added

Well, after a little opening day trouble, I've got an up and running AR-15 (my first)

Here's the details...

Bushmaster Receivers
Shilen Select Match Stainless Barrel in 204 Ruger
Shilen Bolt matched to barrel
ACE Stock
Hogue grip and tube
Nikon Monarch 6.5-20 X 40
Bushmaster 20rd Mag

I've been to the range, will post pic's tomorrow. Can cover a 5-shot group at 100yds with a Nickel using factory ammo. Going again this weekend, I'll get some more pics.

Thanks to all who helped troubleshoot the trigger issue.

You have my attention!

If you don't mind me asking, how much did that set you back? Also, does it take standard mags or are there .204 specific mags?

Thanks, and nice gun!

I don't mind, it set me back about $1100 without scope, and I got a deal on the barrel. It does use standard .223 mags, the slightly longer .204 just fits. I still need to get a better trigger, I've done some work on the stock trigger and it's better, but not good enough.

I just installed the Rock River 2 Stg Trigger on my bushy. If you are looking for a simple drop in tuned trigger thats relatively cheap look no more! I cant believe the difference. 4.5 lb break thats like glass.

I'm actually looking for a nice single stage. I'm not a big fan of the 2 stage, just a personal preferance thing.

Thanks for the info. I'm half considering (meaning I want but shouldn't buy) a RRA lower and some kind of .204 upper, but I'm not sure which way to go. The Tromix one is $865 and that seems pretty steep when a RRA .223 heavy barrel upper is $600.

First Outing

5 shots, .204 Ruger, Hornady 32gr V-Max, 100yds

Here's the results of my first outing, I'm expecting better with a new trigger.
