Its the trigger curve and lendth - it seems to PINCH! WHat is the alternative - the TCP???

To me the TCP has a much better trigger shape and has a lighter pull. It would be my choice of the three, leading the race by at least 2 laps.

Please don't tell me there are no problems with LCPs!
Just do an "LCP Problem" search in google. There isn't enough room to show the entire page.

Maybe wait for the SW Bodyguard? But, Keltec is pretty problem free now, but the darn pointy trigger!

I don't have a problem with the KT trigger but I guess it depends on you finger size.
The S&W maybe a good pistol but with the problems exhibited by some of the other new micro 380s I'd wait to see how it does.

My personal experiences with true pocketable 380s has been, the Diamondback is a great shooter but way too many problems so far.

My Micro Desert Eagle, Sig P238, TCP and 1st gen P-3AT have all been flawless.

Where is it pinching you and how? I own an LCP and it has never pinched me.

A friend of mine owns the TCP738 and the LCP is a better firearm IMO.

About 1,070,000 results (0.39 seconds)

There, I googled 'TCP pistol problem' and there are over a million hits.
If you want to play that way, I can play THAT WAY TOO!

I never said there were not problems with TCP pistols, I just said mine worked fine.

Why are you LCP owners so sensitive?

get your popcorn here! Hot buttery Popcorn!....Drink anyone?

For the record, I have two Kel-tec P3ATs and no problems. One has well over 500 rounds through it. Maybe 3 FTE early on....nothing in several years and I keep it well polished.

And as for the Ruger

I say
LCP Recall
SR-9 Recall
Bill Ruger's letter to congress
The outright theft of the LCP design from Kel-Tec
No more Rugers for my collection EVER

Next subject?

Now back to the fight Gill!

One thing that I did to correct the trigger pinch problem was wrapped electricians tape around the grip, it also helped compensate for my large hands. People tend to be a little to critical of these tiny pocket pistols, you are gonna have to sacrifice a few things in order to have a pistol that weighs virtually nothing and vanishes in your back pocket. Like not being able to hit anything more than 10ft away for one example. I love this gun but I understand its limitations, that's why it is not my primary, I carry it in addition to. In that regard I have no complaints. My wife seems to think it is a magic wand so I'm trying to explain to her that it should be thought of as a last ditch resort, I've been trying to get her to get her to warm up to the .38spl but its gonna take time. Anyway, the LCP is not a target pistol, if you can't deal with the little finger pinch to save your life than I don't know what to do for you.....

The alternative is to trim & polish the end of the trigger so it doesn't pinch.

My early P3AT ate my finger up until I smoothed the mold flash line in the center of the trigger guard, and shortened and polished the end of the trigger so it can't get a bite of my finger every shot.

A little work with some needle files and 400 grit black paper is all it takes.
Some folks even do it with the wifeys fingernail file emery board!

Never had another problem in the past five years.

I use a piece of bicycle tire inner tube on my P-3AT and it helps more than you might expect. It even reduces hand soreness from recoil when firing a lot of rounds.

Just make sure to get the larger diameter tube.

For what it's worth, My -P11 would pinch my finger like a high school junior on his first date!

Used my wifes hair dryer on high for about 2 minutes then used a wide nosed pair of pliers to straighten out the trigger so it was almost flat straight, but not quite, hold it like that for about 3 minutes.

Then, Viola! no more trigger slap or pinch and a much more plesant shooting gun by an immense degree!!

Why Kel-Tec continues to make that trigger pattern is beyond me when it is so easy to make it a MUCH better trigger by such a small change in dimension.

Next step is to superglue a pencil eraser to the frame just behind the trigger to eliminate the over-travel and you have a match grade pocket gun. Well... mayby not match grade but a whole heck of a lot better than factory out of the box.

Turned it from a painful shoot once in a while to be familiar with it to a shoot all day or until the ammo runs out sort of gun.

I wouldn't recommend the tcp. Just got mine back from its second trip to the factory. I still can't get a box of rounds through it without a feed problem. You want one, I'll make you a deal.
