My purchase of a used GP100

Last week I put a WTB post in three different internet gun forums. I wanted to buy either a 4" Ruger GP100 or a 4" S&W 686.

I received four responses within two days. One came from a different state and three from my own local area. The deal with the out of state seller fell through. I inspected the three local offerings and chose a GP100.

The condition of the revolver is outstanding. There is not a blemish on the surface, the barrel is mirror clean and the working of the moving parts crisp and solid. the seller told me that the gun had been used only once at the range. I believe him after my inspection.

The seller was professional, courteous and pleasant. The price ($400) was fair and reasonable.

I am quite happy with the results.

VERY NICE! I shot my SP101 .357 yesterday for the first time. Loved it!

BigN, I believe they are stock grips. The seller told me the revolver was purchased new seven years ago by his grand father and taken to the range once only.
