I took my Rasheed out last week for the first time to shoot. It would fire the round, eject the spent shell casing, and load a fresh round but it would not re-cock the hammer in the trigger pack. I was shooting some of the Wolf HP Ammo. Both of my SKS Carbines worked great with that ammo.

Could the problem be because of the adjustable gas system needs to be tweaked? I tried to adjust it with a set of needle nose pliers but it wouldn't budge. Anyone know what tool might work to adjust the gas system? Would this even be a gas system problem?

Yes, it sounds like a gas issue, and after soaking the valve in PB B'laster or such, get the proper tool (a Hakim gas wrench, google for the guy that makes 'em) and open it up. Wolf's loaded light compared to military stuff.

Unless I am grossly mistaken the hammer cocks before the bolt opens enough to eject and load a fresh round.

I would suspect the trigger pack is allowing the hammer to follow the bolt carrier down instead of catching the hammer on the sear.

I would also suspect this is from a attempt to improve the trigger pull by a guy who didn't have a clue what he was doing.

Let me guess, you got the rifle used, and the seller didn't tell you he 'worked in the trigger a little'.

It's a dead trigger disconnector. If I work the bolt back while the mag is removed and without holding the trigger the hammer is cocked... while holding the trigger the hammer rides forward with the bolt carrier and it's a dead trigger. Can you point me in the right direction to get this fixed. I'd really love to have it running right.

I bought it from a gun shop used. Shop had no info on it except it was a consignment sale and nothing more.

One of the gun parts websites should have the pieces you need. e-gunparts.com and the like.
