I just got my Ruger MkII back from the local refinisher. It came out beautifully. The gun was originally stainless that the previous owner had polished to a mirror finish. Nice work on his part and a nice gun, but just not my style. I much prefer the matte look. I would have to say that the guy did an excellent job.
When I tore down the gun o have him work on it, I forgot to give him the slide stop and the safety. I was going to take these back and have him do them up to match. However I really like the contrast that the small amount of shinny stainless gives the gun..
By the way this is just Bead blasted with a coat of Clear Duracoat over the top. No color added. It is actually a bit darker than the pics make it look.
