Unique setup. Looks good, thank God you took them hogues off
.
Let us know how she shoots!
Hah! Yeah the hogues we're sure nice to shoot, but with how big this thing is I didn't NEED the extra area and recoil reduction. I switched out to a set of oversized target grips, which I THINK
@bannockburn may have suggested to me when I first got the gun a few years ago (I remember that picture, and going looking for those exact grips). And those are also nice to shoot too, but didn't feel quite right to me, which is probably all in my head. I've still got them if these turn out to be more than I can deal with.
That holster is awesome! I really like the grips too, if my sbh wasn't such a beater I'd have a set like that on it. What did you have to give for the grips?
Thanks! My buddy insisted I share the holster, he does custom leather work, and is just getting all the tooling to make it easier and faster lol.
The grips came from Arizona custom grips on eBay, they are machine shaped, and I THINK the checkering is Lazer, but it could be machined as well. They run 50-90ish bucks depending on options, these cost me 70ish. I'm going to have another friend make a set of wolf medalions for them if I like shooting them.
Looks good, dad like the hogues. Looks like a 10'' would work with that holster.
Glad those hogues went to a good home. If I actually shot my guns more than played with them, I'd probably have kept them on there, they do a good job of making the pistol easy to shoot.
I just looked and you probably could stuff a 10" into this holster, but only just. The gun sits so deep that it's actually pretty close to the bottom.
Thanks for.thr compliments guys!
