I just decided AWB or not, I'm going to just get what I want now.... just because I can. :)

So far here's the list

2x Sig 556 SWAT
2x Kahr MK40
20x Kahr MK40 mags
2x STI 1911 pistols in .40SW(see poll)
20x 1911 mags
1x Smith 642 (I've wanted a spare, and I figure I might as well add it)

If possible:
2x Keltec RFB (still not available)
20x FAL mags

ETA: Something tells me that the ATF is going to come knocking.

Well, I'll order it in 1 day (with the exception of the RFB I suppose). When it will all arrive will probably span a time period.

Why the need for multiple copies of the same weapon?

I can understand buying replacement parts and springs before you need them. Never understood they duplicates of the exact same weapon.

To each his own. I would spend the extra scratch on more mags and a lot more ammo.

No need. I just like to do it. It's nice having a spare both as a spare and as a reference. It's a quirk of mine.

One to leave stock and one to play with accessories.

That too.

Did someone win the lottery?

Nope. No lottery win. I just have had a little money stored away that accumulated a lot of interest over the last 12 years and was waiting for the right thing to treat myself too. I just finally realized, who knows if I'm going to be around tomorrow? For all I know an astroid could come smashing down on my house while I'm sleeping (exaggerating, but you get the point). It's not like I'm not thinking about my future, I'm going to law school, but I might as well live a little in the meantime and have some fun.

My birthday is in a few weeks, so I consider this treating myself to an early bday gift. A big one. :)

So, can i come over when they come in?:neener: If me, i would get POF ARs instead of sig 556s because of the magazines....and a XDm for the pistol. But thats just me.:D

It's difficult to predict. In criminal practice, hardly any cases actually require legal research, really. I mean, once in awhile you have to recheck the sentencing rules or the motor vehicle license suspension rules for new developments, but it isn't exactly every day that they change the definition of murder or arson or burglary or racketeering.

Most time on a case involves researching the facts of the case, reviewing reports and interrogations and maybe a few documents, interviewing witnesses, prepping your client and preparing for trial. Once in awhile you get a "TV case" where it actually makes sense to tour the scene, re-enact events, so forth. But that's pretty rare.

Other practice areas, such as business tax planning, require constant legal research. Boring.

bear in mind guys that this is an order I will be placing in the next week or so. I don't physically have any of these items yet, and will probably have to wait for many of them to come in once I place the order and put a deposit down.

To answer a few questions.... the 1911 over the 2011 I don't really have a good answer to. I've wanted a 1911 for some time now. If the 2011 accepts 1911 parts, let me know as I'd consider it then, but for the moment the 1911 is the choice as I'm operating under the assumption that parts aren't as readily available for the 2011 (correct me if I'm wrong).

The Sig556 over a standard AR is b/c I already have 2 LMT ARs. I'd like to have a piston based rifle and while LMT offers one now, the waiting period is up to 5 months for anything ordered now with LMT.

As for Kahr mags, I imagine they'll be special ordered through Kahr. They're MecGar if I'm not mistaken (or at least they were on my PM9 in the past).

I fully expect that once I put down 50% or so on all of it, it's going to arrive at the FFL (everything through the same FFL) in intervals and will involve 2-3 months of waiting to get it all and I'll just pick them up and pay the balance as they arrive.

I'm thinking of scrapping the RFB since G-d knows when it will actually be shipping. It's been one delay after another. If I think of something I want instead, I'll get that. If not, I'll hold off on that until it's released and consider it then.

btw - guys, I'm not an attorney. I'm on my way to being one, but not one yet.

I've interned in criminal law now for about 6 months, but I'm a legal intern, not an attorney. Still gotta get through law school and pass the bar to cross that bridge.

I don't quite understand your need to have 2 of everything but that's OK. I admire the exchange of paper currency for metal anyday. That is a lot of mags for the Kahrs which seem more like carry pieces than brass devouring range guns but why not? It is your money. Enjoy. And of course get some ammo. Now I am inspired and I want to go to the store. Then I want to go to the range. Maybe the range then the store then the range again. . .
