We had a great time at the range while shooting sporting clays, there is not a skeet range where we went. There ended up being 12 shooters with us so we broke up into 3 squads and went after it. I was shooting with my wife, Tyler and a couple of friends from work.
The course had been used for the CO state championship the day before so it was more difficult than usual. We started on stage 3, I went first and was immediately humbled by only breaking 2. I ended up shooting a 60, the best shooter of the day had a 68 and my dad had a 52(his personal best on the hardest course I have ever shot).
Tyler did very well, he was safe, only once almost covering us and he broke a couple of clays out of a little over a box of shells. He has a pretty good bruise but never did complain. He had a good time, I made sure he knew that he only had to shoot what he was comfortable shooting.
The wife had a good time shooting our new shotgun and hitting a couple of clays.
It is going to be fun to watch them learn the art of shooting clays even if it makes me go bankrupt in the process.
He made me really proud when we got home by offering to clean his gun himself, he did a great job.
