very nice old war dog! my friend had a real nice on he got from his father let it rust to heck in hic car got it re- blued!!!%%%&&*#@@ and thae let it rust again I could just cryed tryed to buy of him many many time even offer a brand new colt 1911 no dice what a shame!

That firearm seriously has some history...IMHO the equipment we use in the Army today doesn't have the same class as the more experienced stuff.
Treasure and protect that piece of history. I've heard too many horror stories of guns like these being lost to time.
