Slightly off topic, but what the heck...

I was flipping channels today and stopped on an episode of "King of the Hill". Hank had won an opportunity to go to New Orleans for a Cowboys vs. Saints football game and try to win some money by throwing a football through a target at halftime.

Dale Gribble says "How about I come with? I've always wanted to eat fried dough in the most corrupt city on Earth."

Made me laugh. Hard.

The other thing that gets me is the term "African American".... IIRC, Charlize Theron is African.... I wonder if she
can call herself an "African American" with out special interest group backlash.

They did that when she hosted Saturday Night Live.

Everyone says we should rise above the racial issue and make it a thing of the past, but how can we when the present double standard allows certain people to take advantage of it whenever it benefits them to do so?

Examples: Black Entertainment TV, Miss Black America, United Negro College Fund, Ebony Magazine, NAACP, La Raza, etc.

Substitute the word "White" or "Caucasian" for any of the above and see what happens.
