I'm going either Friday or Saturday. Hopefully I can bring my Grandson too.

"Methinks people get a little too carried away with this boycott nonsense." - CraigC

I still see restaurants and package stores posted with the infamous '11/29' notice...which has, of course, been non-legal and unenforceable since the TCA change more than a decade ago.

You can thank Randy Rayburn and his cabal of fascists for intentionally misinterpreting and misrepresenting current law.

Sorry for the edit but meant to ask if you are a principal or in anyway associated with the business referenced in your post?

If not, whom should I contact? Would like to determine if your attitude is officially condoned by the business. Thanks...

"Why, you gonna organize a boycott???"

All it takes is an honest answer. 'Yes' or 'no' will take care of the followup.

So...which is it?

I'd rather not impugn the company if they don't share your bias.

This year in Tennessee, that means that attendees can indeed carry firearms in the Music City Center with the proper license in accordance with Tennessee law. Bridgestone Arena prohibits the possession of firearms, and always has. Attendees to the concerts held there are not allowed to carry weapons according to these pre-existing laws."

I visited Nashville for 2 days on the way to Michigan in 2005. The downtown was very entertaining and the Zoo was cool. The local folks were quite friendly.

But the Capitol Building sits up on a hilltop like an armed Fortress. I'd been to over 30 Capitol Building's and this was the first one that had armed guards and metal detectors to pass through. A most unpleasant experience.

Later in the trip, we went to the Indiana and Michigan Capitol's and just walked right in and sat right down.

Nashville seemed quite paranoid in comparison. We've always wondered what has created this type of attitude. Several of the posts in this thread have illuminated the thinking.

Thank you.

Back from the show. Had a great time, handled some cool stuff, bought some cool stuff, met some great people and industry folks. I have to say that I don't agree with any of what has been posted about Nashville and the attitude there. The city welcomed the NRA with open arms. The hotel staff was great and very accommodating. As was security and police presence. Lots of folks open carrying at the convention and no issues reported. No issues at any of the restaurants visited. The morning news always had updates on what was going on at the convention and not a negative word was said. There might be some anti-gun politicians in Nashville and I'm sure there's anti-gun folks living there but to say that "Nashville is an anti-gun city" is just completely unfounded.
