NBC: Survive home invasion by cooperating with invaders, 'treat them like royalty'

"On September 8 NBC's Today show aired a segment on how to survive a home invasion. That advice included cooperating with the invaders -- "treat them like royalty" -- and telling them the location of everything they want in the house.
Spoiler: The advice did not include acquiring a gun for the defense of one's life, the lives of one's family, and one's property."

NBC also fails to mention the tendencies of burglars to rape women and eliminate witnesses.

I guest the NBC Today show guests/panel didn't see; The Chesire Murders on HBO.
That's the heart wrenching doc about the two scum-bags who broke into a home beating up the doctor dad & then raping/murdering the female family members(note; the 2 thugs poured gas on the women before fleeing the home, the dad was knocked out & tied up .
The CT felons got busted but won't face the death penalty either.

I tend to ignore the "advice" or "suggestions" on some of these network news shows.

I lived about 5 miles from their house when that happened. My wife (then girlfriend) lived about a mile away from that house. Being so close to it, going to the bank where they took out the money for scumbags and tried to get help, etc.. horrifying.

Now I wonder if when they say to treat home invaders like royalty they might be referring to Ceasar, Louis XVI, Archduke Franz Ferdinand, Tsar Nicholas II, etc....

I might be able to get behind the idea if that were the case.
