NDM-86 Dragunov Legal in Maryland?

Anyone know if the NDM-86 Dragunov is legal in Maryland? Thx!...

All long-guns are legal in Maryland, the only question is if the purchaser will need to wait 8 days to pick it up or not.

Best I've been able to determine so far is that it falls by name under Md's "assault rifle" classification so needs to be registered as a "regulated firearm" w/a $10 fee.

According to them, its falls under #17, so it will be regulated, therefore subject to the application and 7 day waiting period.

On that note, it only needs to be registered if it changes hands. It is voluntary to register it if you owned it before moving to MD. (Its also voluntary to register when you buy it, but if you dont volunteer to register it, they wont approve your background check, gotta love liberal logic)
