Neat Night Picture

Tried a night shoot with my son just for fun. USP 9 mm. Couple of neat pics.

Gloves on, gotta take advantage of that massive trigger guard!

Love it, my first gun was a USP .40, great guns even if they are pretty big. Part of what makes them so neat.

He was about 15 yards from those spinners and there is some rotation to it so splatter is usually not a problem.

Used a Canon 7D with a 50mm 1.8 lens. Iso cranked up with a fast shutter speed shot wide open. On a tripod. No flash needed.

Take enough Pics you eventually get a good one...get enough good ones, eventually you get a great one (or lucky one)

Nice pics from a photographer to another! I've been into photo for years but only within the past year hand guns. Have yet to mix them!

Gotta love Canon's cheap 50 prime! Quite a good lens for the money, I'll bet it looks funny on a 7D body, I know it does on my 50D.

You are right. Probably no better prime for the money. The 7D dwarfs the little lens...but it sure takes nice pics

But shooting steel targets without safety glasses isn't all that smart. While the lead just pulverizes to the sides the odd bit of jacket comes back with some gusto often enough to make it a darn fine idea to have some shooters glasses.
