Hi. We'll be going from Nebraska to Wisconsin for vacation this summer. I went to USACarry.com's reciprocity map, and it said that my Nebraska concealed/carry permit was good in WI.

But then, in a note below the map, it said :"Wisconsin accepts Virginia Non-Resident Permits Only". I'm not exactly sure what that means. It seems contrary to what the reciprocity map told me.

Is my CCW permit good in Wisconsin? Any localities I can't go? Milwaukee? Madison? Thanks

Gary has this note under the list of reciprocal states: "*Wisconsin will not honor the Virginia Resident Permit/License only their Non Resident Permit/License.
Wisconsin Honors Non-Resident Permits/Licenses from all the Other States They Honor. (Must be 21 Y/O)"

So it looks like, unless your permit is from VA, and that's your home state, you're fine.

Thanks for clarifying that, Sam. The map is pretty straightforward and easy to understand, and I figured I was good to go. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.
