Necessary to break in barrel on a .22LR?

My experience with .22s -- and I was Oklahoma State Collegiate Smallbore champ back in the Stone Age -- is shoot them and leave them alone. If a rifle goes sour on you (I never had that happen) you might try cleaning the bore, otherwise leave it alone. In fact, the lubricant the bullet leaves in the bore protects it about as well as anything else.

Shoot dirty. Only clean it when accuracy drops away.
