The only thing that moves inside, is the lead or copper bullets....they don't make sparks......and since the shellholder with its epoxy keeper prevents the primer from touching anything but air, there is no possibility of the primer being struck either.
Without the epoxy keeper a "raised" primer could conceivably move laterally and hit the side of the shellholder. That's why it's a big no no, to replace a factory kinetic puller's shell holder with a common press shellholder. You can't stop sideways movement...least not without some kind of keeper.
The RCBS is one of the best....but it'll break if you get in a bad habit of needing it too often! You learned not to hit too hard! Some don't. I have a friend who's broken several....so I made him one like mine......he broke that too! I don't know why I never bought the RCBS version.....maybe because the orignal old pipe version where we used a clip in the head groove and you had to hold the case in the end of the pipe with your thumb, (a little pain involved in that) , made me so careful so as not to need it?
