With all the expenses of Christmas coming up, and I wanted the gun so bad I didn't want to add more interest payments on credit card bills so I opted for 6 months to pay. Credit card bills and this new gun will be all paid off in 2 months. And my credit card bill be a big fat zero!:D

It has boiled down to the Smith and Wesson M&P 22 pistol. I wanted a "real gun" feel vs the Ruger, which I still think may be the best 22LR pistol in the market. I also like the Sig SAuer 1911 22 LR. So we will see...

You may also want to consider the ATI GSG 1911 22, same gun as the SIG (They make the 1911 22 for SIG) but can usually be found cheaper than the SIG unless you really gotta have the SIG roll mark on the slide. Ya might be able to save $50.00 to $100.00. Just sayin. Either way they both seem like good solid firearms. As does the S&W M&P22 But if your looking for all out dependability in an autoloader you can't beat the Ruger MK's (I have three MK II's) or the Browning Buckmark.

May be a good idea to get small amounts of various .22LR ammunition to see what works (cycles pistol) and shoots best. CCI Mini Mag solid bullet and Federal Auto Target work well in my Kimber .22 conversion slide on a Norinco 70 series frame. CCI Blazer, Remington Thunderbolt and other low power/velocity rounds wont cycle the slide even with a 15# mainspring. Congrats and enjoy... maybe find a USPSA Steel Challenge match nearby.
