I've always been a revolver guy and more importantly prefered revolvers with fixed sights so naturally the most I have on any of them is a gold bead front sight or a tritium front sight and the rear notch which is part of the gun.

Here lies the problem, I've gotten so used to that I have come to find the sights on my new cz 75 sp 01 tactical to be a little distracting and am considering changing them out.

I'm stuck looking through sights and at this point am even debating just having the rear cut for a 1911 sight or going with the competition style sight, truth of the matter is though I don't even know where to begin.

any help is appreaciated,

I know my PCR came with 3-dots. I replaced them with tritium 3-dots because I like them.

If the SP01 has something of the sort, just black out the rear. Would bring it similar to the red wedge on a revolver.

mine came with 3 dot night sights, it's just to much clutter for me, I find myself spending to much time worrying about the rear sight and how I have the dots lined up.

I looked at some of the competition style sights out there and the just look like they'd be more likely to snag on the draw.

as for front sight, I would like to either have a tritium front sight or a fiber optic, I don't really anticipate alot of problems in low light and if I do I have an x300 on it.

on another note, it just occured to me that I would probably have to get a new sight cut on my cz as most of the serated black rear sights are for the shadow version while I have the tactical, is this correct?

You would have to double check but I'm pretty sure the CGW sights will fit will no problems. Ya when I still had the stock sights on I removed the dot on my front sight didn't have any on the rear.

Ya I would say they are all probably easier to snag but I have the CGW pair on my carry gun and never have any problems, you could always get whichever one you like and rounds the corners.

Check out the CajunGunWorks rear sight. Sounds like that is what you need. And just leave your front sight in if it works with it.

i'll try just putting some tape over the dots and seeing if the black rear works better for me ( I assume it will). I would prefer to have either a tritium or fiber optic front sight of course, either will work but that is more or less what 90% of my guns have.

I know i could just paint the sight but being I am going to the trouble of getting other work done on it rather have something more dedicated.

The sights I'm seeing on cgw look like they are all made for the shadow, I'll give them a call tomorrow to ask.
