Need advice on selling my 1911

I'm going to sell/trade my Springfield Armory GI 1911 stainless, my questions are...

1:How much should I ask?

2:How should I sell it (gun store/private sale)?

It’s in very good condition with the all paperwork, original case, 4 magazines, and 300rds of Wolf FMJ.

You'll probably get more from a private seller. You should look at gunbroker.com and gunsamerica and see if there are any gently used guns like your own and see how much their going for. Then maybe you should try to sell it on here on the buy sell trade forum, since it would avoid fees and you'd be able to retract it more easily if you had second thoughts.

All joking aside, I've seen some good condition SA's go for almost what they fetch brand new.

Actually, when I was cleaning it today I decided to keep it (the spirit of John Moses Browning forced me)

I guess I have to find another way to pay for an AK.
