We just bought a bunch of "Hot Box" targets for use with handguns. Does anyone have feedback on these? Any problems with ricochets? Any minimum distance suggestions?

This is a link to what they look like:

You are supposed to be able to shoot them a thousand times and they self-heal. I expect we'll get fewer shots than that since we'll be using a lot of 44 mag on them.

Basicly the same as shooting at the ground. plan for a 30 degree vertical / horizintal ricochet angle, which means place them at the base of the target stands, near berm center and not out from or neat the edges of the berm. If not using a berm, make sure you're shooting towards uninhabited wilderness, within a +/- 30 degree cone from the target, out to 3,000 yards. They are fun but gotta be safe. Bullets zing through these like tissue paper.

i have some, they do not bounce as well as i was expecting, but it looks like it is going to last a while. Sure beats cans
