Hello all,

I have just received my new Cheapthendirt catalog and inside was a "new" type of target from Just shoot me http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/TARGET102-68711-2135.html

Heres there website with videos on it, they also have 3d targets of animals for shooting to. It seems that a lot of the shots "bounce" off

It looks like a good concept, while i know a soda can does the same thing, it looks like this is able to take more damage and last a whole lot longer. Being plastic more ranges will allow it, some ban metal targets. And with different models meant for different calibers and different shapes theres plenty of options.

Also they have spinner targets that "self heals" after being shot so you can keep using them.

So what do you all think, worth the money or a scam, do you have one?

Hey...neat!

Never seen one of those, but that looks cool! My only gripe about soda cans is that by the time you work your way through half a bulk pack of .22, you can be on target but going right through the holes in the cans.

If you try it out, let us know how it goes. Maybe I'll pick one up.

How well do those ballistic polymers work? I'm interested in them, but I'm fearful that they won't last long...

I Use some old golf balls

Careful with that!

<gunshop story, take with a grain of salt>

I know a man, who is quite the avid shooter, who claims he had a .22 come back in his direction while plinking at golf balls! I used to do the same thing, and I still do- but only with much bigger chamberings!

these things arn't that new, but i've always wondered how good they are. my friends have a habit of destroying any targets i provide, so this could be a nice test. if it can be broken, we would destroy it the first day out.

reading reviews "posted for the company" looks like it handles 20,000 to 30,00 hits...

My rifle-rated Cube has taken 12,675 rounds of 5.56mm, 8,050 of 7.62mm, 578 rounds of .50 BMG,

I think one rim-fire and pistol thing is up my ally and maybe a sniper cube later, haha cant make up my mind

I don't like the idea of chasing around a mobile ground target with a sweeping muzzle. Without a serious high and phenomenally wide backstop free of rocks and other ricochet-inducing material, it sounds like a dangerous toy. I like to know what is behind my target at all times. Before I point my rifle at it.

Back a few years ago I was looking for a man sized reactive target. I looked into steel targets but cost was way to high, not to mention the weight of transporting them around and you have to be at least 25 yards away in case of splay. What I ended up buying was one of these ballistic polymer targets with a target stand. It cost me about $150 and I was less than impressed. I think I used the thing maybe twice.

The whole point of my purchase was for a REACTIVE target and this target didn't react in the slightest. It sealed the hole just like advertised when used with FMJ, but you couldn't even discern so much as a wobble from .40 or 9mm.

I haven't tried the smaller ground targets or sniper block so I can't speak to those, but for the larger ones I'd recommend steering clear if you're looking for something that's gonna let you know when you hit it.

never used one, but I recall some reviews on them either her, or at TFL on these from a few members.I believe there were even some "after" pics. Cant say for sure, but I recall the reviews being pretty decent on them.Try a serch here anf TFL for them.A thread should come up with at least a few people who tried them.
