Need cheap QD mount for key fob micro camera

Bought a mini key fob with a camera in it today.

I would like to mount it to a small, light, quick detach base so that I can easily swap between guns/rails. The goal is to get some cool video looking down the side of the gun as I'm running drills.

Key words being small, light, quick detach and CHEAP.

Need it to be flat (or close to it) on the top surface so that I can glue the camera to the mount.

Something like this Larue mount would be great...but I'm not paying $80. There has to be something cheaper out there.

How about buying a really cheap red-dot and attaching the camera to that?

Well, I've already got normal optics on all of them (Eotech on 9mm carbine, ACOG TA33 on black AR, NF 2.5-10 on FDE AR). They also already have rails on them or at least rail sections.

My thought was to just buy the mount so that I could easily swap between the forends/guns to record the videos.

Maybe I wasn't clear enough ... I have an $8 red-dot I got on clearance from the airsoft section at a local department store ... if I needed a dirt-cheap mount I'd just use the cheap mounting device built into that sight, and maybe ditch the sight/battery while I was at it.

$80 does seem like too much when there are sub-$10 devices out there with a mount included.

I also found this on Midway for $13:



Glue the camera to the top and it only requires an allen wrench for attachment.

Is that just a gadget to make your rail taller in one spot?
Looks like a winner to me, toss it in the cart and get it with the next midway order.

Yeah, it was a 1/2 or 3/4" riser. No clue what I'd use it for legitimately.

Yeah, I was going to try velcro to mount the camera to the riser.
