Will these magazines fit the Beretta 84 and its licensed clones, to be exact, the SDS Fatih. Your help will be much appreciated, thanks in advance. {Mec-Gar Browning BDA .380 ACP 13-Round Magazine}

I've seen reports that the Browning/Beretta magazines will fit the Fatih. I have 2 Mec Gar Browning BDA mags on order and waiting for them to arrive. Will update on fit in the Fatih when they arrive.

Thanks a lot for your reply, much appreciated, I just bought the Fatih couple weeks ago, I am in love with her. Have a couple of those mags in my wishlist from magwarehouse.com

Recently came into a Beretta 84 FS, would love to have a Browning BDA. The last one I saw for sale locally wasn't cheap, but it sold.

I ordered a couple of extra Mec Gars for it.

Yes, the mags are the same. I had both a BDA and an 84 in the early 80's and the mags being the same was partially the reason I bought that first 84. I have bought and sold several of each at this point, but the 3 mags I bought back in about 1981 are still going strong.

You guys had me going for a minute. I had a Browning BDA around 1980. It was made by SIG-Sauer and chambered in Super .38. They don't make anymore. Beginning production in 1977, production ceased not far in the 1980s.

I had one of those Browning BDAs in .45 ACP. One of the most reliable, accurate, and sweet shooting .45s I have ever used. I also remember seeing the 9mm. and .38 Super versions languishing forever on dealer's shelves as it seemed nobody was all that interested, at the time, in a 9 round, single stack 9mm. or .38 Super.

Not helping matters was the fact that while BDAs had a retail price of $319, a Browning Hi-Power was priced at $289. According to some numbers I came across Browning imported some 9000 BDAs in .45 ACP, 2740 in 9mm. and only 852 in .38 Super. Browning dropped both the 9mm. and the .38 Super a year after they were first imported.

I bought it as an investment, I knew about the small numbers of them. I could not hold it long enough to make a profit. Life is like that.
Never liked the SIG-Sauer incarnation of much. I find the axis bore too high above the centerline of my forearm and despise the hammer-dropper safety system.

Different tastes.

As for the original question, yes the Mec Gar Browning BDA 380, Beretta 84 magazine will fit and function in a TISAS FATIH 380. The difference is in the shape of the floor plate. On the Tisas it has a finger rest whereas the Beretta/Browning magazine has a straight floor plate that doesn't match up with the contour of the front bottom of the Tisas Fatih grip. The front of the grip on a Tisas is straight and the Beretta/Browning has a swept forward section at the bottom front of the grip.
