The Dan Wesson's of that size are all alloy framed. Although if you decide to go to an alloy frame they are great guns. My EDC is a Dan Wesson Guardian. It's a great gun.

You know..... Vodoun just gave me an idea.

A 1908 hits all your criteria (albeit 9mm kurz). My 1903 is a sweet little shooter. I certainly wouldn't feel any more under gunned with a 1908 then I do with my Sig P238.

Just a thought.

Vodoun- Nice guns, I have always wanted to shoot one of those Pocket Hammerless guns.

Dogmush- Lol, That thought actually crossed my mind(momentarily). Parts are kinda scarce though, And I said 9mm would be fine, But not antique ammo, lol. I am not dead set against alloy pistols, Just not my first choice, But if they are from a good reputable company than I would consider one.

Don't get me started on the 1903 Pocket Hammerless. I wanted updated carry guns like them so bad I started buying orphans and rebuilding them/customizing them to get *exactly* what I wanted and the results were way worth the price for me. Sweet shooters and outstanding carry guns and with hard chrome and an action job they shoot like a custom pistol costing way more than I have invested in stuff like this:

That said, I returned to shooting sport on the eve of CCL here in Illinois specifically to get the ability to carry concealed and broke a 30+ year hiatus of shooting and hand loading in late 2012. I wanted nothing to do with polymer framed and aluminum monstrosities until someone put a Glock 19 in my hands at the range.

I understand the bias and the desire to possess and use "all steel" pistols and have that ideal and have indulged that ideal as well. But just for hoots, to make really informed choices about the "Good Stuff" that is currently available one needs to shoot a few of them to write them off. Some of the best pistols I own and have ever shot are polymer framed and stainless or modular guns.

It's the 21st century and even though I *do* love and carry early 20th century all steel guns there are some "other options" that are truly stellar pistols that use polymer and stainless and aluminum and plastic and such.

I tried to hate 'em but after shooting them I was convinced - 'Sniper, you might try that as well. ;) Your list of options will explode if you can find a range that rents and shoot some all steel and polymer pistols head to head in direct testing in your own hands. Not just Glocks but Beretta's and Rugers and S&W's and Walthers and H&K and Sig Sauer and *all* that new stuff. Not all steel but very impressive head to head in direct comparison.

VooDoo

Vodoun- That looks like a brand new gun! Very nice work... Wish I had the skills to take a gun that looks like its been buried for 20 years and make it look like it just came out of the factory.. I am open minded to different types of guns, I said in an earlier post that I am considering a CZ RAMI which comes in polymer or aluminum, And a Sig-239 which is aluminum.
