Need help in identifying a .22 lr

I have recently purchased a very old .22 LR bearing the name "Harry Armstrong Pty Ltd. W.A." on left side of action and ".22 Long Rifle Only" on the right side. It has a peculiar bolt action. I have attached some pics. Could anybody please identify the gun for me? It will also be helpful if some background material on the company is available.

Pty Ltd is Australian-speak for "proprietary limited", a form of business incorporation.

WA appears to be Western Australia.

I still haven't found the company though.
