Based on the pictures in the first two posts of this thread: http://www.thehighroad.org/showthrea...67#post5770967 can you identify what kind of .22 rifle this is?
The following may help in identifying it:
-The cut for the bolt handle to move is verticle (not canted to one side of the receiver).
-There is no magazine release.
-The safety is a simple thumb safety attached to the right side of the receiver.
-There are a couple holes drilled for a peep sight on the left side of the receiver.
Some people think it is a Marlin, a Wards, a Stevens, a Savage, a Sears, etc. Please provide me with concrete responses and pictures of the model you are talking about so that I can visually verify the likenesses. I am sure that someone out there is a big enough gun buff that they have books or reference material or first hand knowledge that can identify the rifle for me. Thank you.
