Need help on what to get next

I am stumped on what I should add to my collection. I was wondering if my fellow members could help me out. I either own the following or will get them soon (paperwork and waiting period).

Rifle

Springfield M1A (paperwork)

Shotgun

Benelli Supernova Tactical

Semi-Auto Pistols

HK USP FS in .45, .40S&W, and 9mm
HK USPc in .45
Glock 17
Sig P229 in .40S&W
Beretta PX4 in .40S&W (Paperwork)

What would you recommend and why? Thank you

A .22LR rifle and/or handgun. Ammo is cheap, low recoil, great for teaching newbies, can be suppressed easily, same suppressor will work on both a .22 pistol and a .22 rifle.

It's no coincidence that 550 rounds of .22LR can be dumped out into the beverage holder of a camp chair and fill it exactly.

Cant go wrong with a 1911. You get a historically bad @ss pistol and can buy a conversion kit to make it a 22cal.

You seem to have a thing for tactical/military-style weapons, so I'd look at one of the new S&W .357s - the TRR8 or M&P, I think they're called.

Matte black, eight-shots, rails top and bottom. Quite nice looking guns, Performance Center tuned.

Something else in .308 so you wouldn't have to go searching for another caliber. I'm the ugly black rifle, tinkering, "fix it if it ain't broke" type so my choices tend to be modularity and experimentation. Looks like you have pistols covered but your longarms need some buddies.

Personally I want the Keltec .308 bullpup at SHOT. Everyone loved the trigger pull. Some people seem to be worried about the receiver exploding in bullpups...as if bullpups explode more than "regular guns" There isn't really any other ballpark caliber bullpups in other than an AMP Tech DSR-1 or a Walther WA2000 and both are priced in the stratosphere.

I also vote for adding another shotgun...Rem 870 or Mossy 500 for huge aftermarket support and cheap replacement parts. An 870 hasn't been in my paws more than a week and I'm already tinkering with it, plus its a well proven design.

I'd like to have at least several firearms in each caliber/gauge. I have a Kimber 1911 which I love and CHL, and I've been eyeing the .22 slide kits for some time. Along that line of thought, AR15s are pretty modularflexible and you can enter new realms by swapping uppers to whatever your heart desires. Just don't go rails...or you'll never return. I'm constantly swapping and trying things since going to picatinny/1913 universal rail systems.

Get yourself an accurate bolt action rifle. Chambered in something like 6ppc, .308, 6.5/284, or something similar. Have the thing built on a semi-custom action, with a stainless steel select match barrel, with a tight chamber and preferably a turned neck. Rifle will probably cost about $2,000ish, and the scope about a grand.

And it'll be the most accurate thing you'll ever shoot. 6PPC inside 300 yards, but past that, go for .308 or 6.5/284.

Learn accuracy. Because when it gets down to it, only the shots that hit count.

Are the 6ppc rifles something you can get off the shelf or a custom rifle? I was thinking about getting a Remington 700 PSS chambered in .308 but that might not be good for close in stuff. I would love to have an AR15 but with California laws being the way they are I can't do much with it. Either I have a fixed 10 round mag with some evil features or a CA legal rifle with a detachable mag. Thank you for the ideas so far I will research them and think of some other toys too.

I should probably focus on helping my fellow gun enthusiasts in defeating the new AWB before I think about getting new "toys". So what do I need to do besides joining the NRA and writing to my Congressperson?

Update I got the M1A and PX4 last week. Now I just need to bring them to the range and shoot them.
