I have a parder pump 12ga that when I rack a new shell it will jam up. what appears to be happening, is that the new shell is coming out of the tube before the spent shell can eject. Now what is really weird is that I can rack it slowly and it will eject the shells fine, but as soon as I try to rack it fast it will not eject. This happens with spent shells, and when I put new shells in it. For anyone who isnt familiar with these guns they are basically a copy of the rem. 870 so any advice from the 870, might help with this. Any help is much appreciated, couldnt happen at a better time. Dove season just opened up, and I missed quite a few due to this.

Well.... I feel kinda dumb, but excited. I came to discover that I was not racking the shells hard enough. It was wierd. I can rack the next round slowly and it works great or I can rack it like it stole something from me and it works great. Anything in between and it jams. Thanks for the advise, hopefully there will be no more issues. Got do get a couple more doves this afternoon, time to fire up the grill!

Always rack a pump shotgun like it belongs to someone else- hard. And do it in a deliberate two-count movement: all the way back till it stops is Count 1, then all the way forward till it stops is Count 2. You'll never short stroke a pump if you get into that habit.

And wrap part of a strip of bacon around those doves before they go on the grill... :D
