So far all I've tried is the speer gold dot 124 grain +p and it wasn"t that accurate. What is the most accurate defense load that any of you 9mm XDM owners have found to be really accurate? I want golf ball size groups at 10 yards. Any help would be really appreciated. These guns have match barrels so I expect them to shoot tight groups.Thanks.

I used to think that my XDm was inaccurate also. Then I sand bagged it, and the gun was accurate. Apparently I was the problem. That trigger takes a little getting used to. I'm seriously considering getting the Powder River trigger job done to mine.
So I'm not saying you are the problem, but it could be you.

BTW, what I usually use is Sellier & Bellot FMJ. I've not tried a defensive round.

These were the very first seven rounds out of my XDm 9mm 4.5 at 5 yards. Three of them are overlapped somwhat. Five of the seven are touching or nearly touching. I was shooting reloaded target ammo. With that said, I'm more of a combat/practical shooter than a high-accuracy shooter. YMMV

I shoot every thing from reloads in unmatched brass to 124 gr NATO and my XDM does not seem to care. Point of impact may change but groups stay tight.

Today I found some ammo that the gun loves. 147 grain speer gold dot personal protection, it shot a quarter sized group with this ammo. It also liked the federal premium 147 grain hydra-shock.
