Springfield XDM Elite 3.8 10MM carry update

Made some updates to the XDM 10MM carry progress this week as I received the IWB Kydex holster with OLight Baldr provision. I found the holster on Amazon available in left hand and for $49 it’s a good fit. The 10MM wasn’t listed so I ordered for the XDM 3.8 in 9/40 and the fit is good.

I also ordered a 15 round magazine which really makes the grip quite long. It will certainly ride in a spare Mag holder and the 11 round factory magazine will ride in the weapon. Below is a size reference with and without the 15 round magazine.


Im also working up some 165 grain Speer Gold Dot JHP reloads for the shorter barrel to see if i can find a speedy accurate round with the 165 grain bullet. This gun shoots my 180 grain XTP round well with a stout load of 800X developed for my G20 and Hi-Point carbine but i want to see what I can do with the 165 gr Gold Dot with this pistol.

I still have some more range time required before it rotates into my EDC but so far I’m really excited with this pistol

Finally, the OLight Baldr with green laser is a great light addition. Laser was easy to zero and light is 800 lumens full bright. Got it on a Black Friday deal and was only $115 to the door.
