Need help. Winchester 1885 falling block 22

This gun was found by my friend. I believe cleaning out his uncles house
 
If you think you have a Schoyen scheutzen Winchester, I suggest you get in touch with the Winchester Museum and get the straight dope on it. If confirmed it would be worth a professional restoration. The best contact I know is Bert H. on the GunBroker board at:

By the way, scope bases do not guarantee it is a Schoyen, lots of Highwalls had them. Mine does.

Wow, that thing puts my favorites to shame... But don't schoyens tend to be all fancy scmancy engraved? If I recall correctly they are one of the most ostentatious .22s I've ever seen.
