if I read it right it is 800 rnds of 7.62x59 weights 24 kilos was made at factory 133 in 1986.I found this ammo crate in my basement and I forgot what is in it. Can anybody help me out with an ID so I don't have to open it up? Anybody read Russian? Any help is appreciated, please and thank you!
I thought .308 / 7.62 NATO was 7.62x51?I'll guess I guess!
The "7.62-59" on the Czech crates means caliber 7.62 x54R, - adopted in 1959.
It's 7.62R Russian, but made in the former Czechoslovakia state.
7.62x59 is .308 / 7. 62 NATO.
But that's not what it is.
