The codes on most of these safes do not reset when the batteries are removed.
Chances are the electronics have gone bad, and that is why it is not opening.
It will probably come down to using brute force to open it, or taking it to a locksmith.
This is one of the big reasons I advise people not to buy electronic quick access gun safes. If the safe is less reliable than the weapon, it defeats the purpose.
